Q: How can I contact you?
Q: Do I need climate-controlled storage?
For those items that may be sensitive to temperature extremes, whether they are personal belongings, valuable furniture, antiques, paintings, musical instruments, books, videotapes, albums, photographs, papers, electronics, important business-related documents or pharmaceuticals, climate control storage is recommended.
Q: Do I need insurance?
State Of The Art Storage does offer content insurance through an independent insurance company. However, many homeowners and renters policies do cover self-storage to a certain limit (check with your insurance provider to be sure). It is recommended that you do have coverage.
Q: How do I estimate the amount of space I need?
See our page “Unit Sizes.” Also the size unit you need depends on several factors besides the cubic space your items will occupy. If you don't plan on going in and out of your unit much, you're best off taking advantage of the height of the units (8 ft.) and stacking your items as high as you can. If you will be going in and out a lot, give yourself extra room to make your items more accessible. Call our office for advice on choosing the right size.
Q: What is the minimum amount of time I can rent a storage unit?
One month. If you need storage for longer than one month, units are rented on a month-to-month basis. Storage leases will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis. We ask that you notify us when you plan to vacate your unit.
Q: Do I have to pay first and last month rent up front?
No. You are only charged for the month you move in. You pay your next month's rent on or before your anniversary date (which was your move-in date). There is a one-time administration fee of $10.00 per unit rented charged at the time of rental.
